Bringing Together a NH Cybersecurity Company, a New England Non-profit, a NH Charter School & Girl Scouts
It seems like an unlikely partnership, but nothing is business as normal during the COVID-19 pandemic. People and organizations that in typical times would never have gotten together are knocking down barriers to find ways to help produce personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and first responders.
Under normal circumstances, the team at
Pulsar Security are known for community volunteerism and patriotism as a number of Pulsar’s staff have served in the Military. But, as the concern for adequate PPE supplies for our local medical personnel increased, Pulsar knew our technology expertise would allow us to do more.
In concert with
Lowell Makes, (non-profit, shared community workshop and laboratory in Lowell, Massachusetts, that collaborates on community projects to promote science, technology and art) we were able to tap into the specs for producing 3D printed PPE masks. With the technical specifications outlined, and Pulsar’s commitment to fully fund materials for several 3D printers, production of the masks was underway.
The result – masks that will be delivered early this week to our local
community hospitals in a grassroots effort to keep our local healthcare
workers safe.
Do you want to help? Stay tuned for a post where we outline our process of printing the masks and share how you can do the same. Let's all do our part to combat COVID-19.
